Refund policy
This policy is an outline written by the school and has not been reviewed by an attorney. It becomes part of the terms of service when a reviewed version is posted with an effective date. No subscription is sold before then.
The free trial
Every new family’s first subscription starts with a free trial (planned: 14 days) with a card on file. Cancel from the billing page at any time inside the trial and the subscription is never charged. Stripe sends a reminder before the trial ends.
The enrollment charge
The one-time enrollment charge taken at checkout (planned: one dollar) exists to verify the parent for the children’s privacy rule. It is refunded on request, whether or not you keep the subscription. Ask from the billing page or by email.
Monthly plans
Cancel any time. Access continues to the end of the month already paid for, and that month is not refunded in part. A seat removed mid month stays active to the end of the month.
Annual plans
A full refund of the annual charge is given if you cancel within 30 days of the first annual charge. After 30 days, cancel any time and access continues to the end of the paid year; the remainder is not refunded. Switching from annual to monthly takes effect at the end of the paid year.
Scholarship purchases
When a Florida scholarship program (for example PEP or FES through a scholarship funding organization) paid for the subscription, any refund goes back to the scholarship organization under that program’s rules, never to the parent. The school gives no rebates, credits or referral rewards to scholarship families. Scholarship families are advised to use monthly billing because the programs reimburse a limited period in advance.
Our mistakes
A charge made in error, a duplicate charge, or a period during which the service was unavailable for more than three consecutive days through our fault is refunded or credited in full. Tell us and we fix it.
How to ask
Cancellations are made on the billing page (Manage billing). Refund requests go by email from the account holder’s address; the contact address will be stated here before this policy takes effect. Refunds are returned to the original payment method through Stripe and usually appear within five to ten business days; Stripe’s processing fee on the original charge is not recovered by the school and is not deducted from your refund.
